Your faith will stand on its own
But you my khalid may fall
Unless you stand up for who you are
How will you answer the call
The world my friend is a prison
And all of its trappings a web
Protect yourself as you bide your time
And tide will finally ebb
Repair and ready your soul
Before that coming decline
Control what’s in your control
And everything else will be fine
Strutting
You’re confident and sure
Assuming airs so pure
You see yourself unquestionably blessed
But here’s your mother gasping
In the rain you’re sending down
Of dagger words that pierce her weary chest
Now she can suffer daggers
And even cuts of swords
As long as she can see you through the rain
The question dear khalid
Is how will you survive
The Day you’ll need her loving touch again

Come here you dusty traveler
And open up your bag
Let’s take a look inside to see
What’s causing you to lag
Oh khalid all these rotten words
Will weigh you down like death
Go fill your bag with Salawaat
To scent your putrid breath

Hold fast hang on
Until the break of dawn
This darkness cannot

What else is there to do
