Thistle-holds

Khalid Mukhtar · July 26, 2022 · 2 Comments

What greater act of Divine assistance
Than a wayward slave broken by sin
Finding himself time and time again
Drowned in despair but not sinking
Losing his dusty way and thinking
There is no return no way back
To where the path opens wide
For every seeker that’s died
Looking for hope in thistles
Unfriendly on the outside
Yet deep run their roots
In unwavering search
For another chance
Touch them khalid
And for heaven’s
Sake be sure to
Wince a little
By way of
Thanks
