These Days

Khalid Mukhtar · May 23, 2026 · 3 Comments

The days are here
the Hajjis there
are waiting for their rahmah share
as we are lying broken bare
before your doors wide open where
each soul with longing lingers

We pray and fast
we barely last
our net of hope is widely cast
these first ten of
Dhul Hijjah pass
like water through our fingers

Lord give us from your endless giving
a Life beyond a life worth living
